From Kulim to Johor Plantations brand transformation

Because of its numerous subsidiaries across multiple sectors, Kulim (M) Berhad struggled to raise awareness of the many products within its portfolio and its association with the parent brand.

As a result, marketing was fragmented, costly and unable to establish credibility for the overall brand. Fusionbrand was hired to build the brand from the organisation out while developing consistent visual assets that resonated with target markets.

The company made a strategic decision to rebrand one of its subsidiaries, Mahamurni Sdn Bhd, transforming it into Johor Plantations Berhad. Building upon this initiative, the company took further steps to streamline its brand presence by consolidating five additional subsidiaries under the umbrella of Johor Plantations Berhad, with the consultation from Fusionbrand.

This cohesive approach aims to create a monolithic brand, allowing these subsidiaries to leverage and share the robust credibility associated with the overarching mother brand among their target customer base.

As part of this comprehensive rebranding effort, Fusionbrand played a pivotal role in redesigning the logos for each subsidiary, aligning them with the new direction and overarching brand identity.
