Technology College Sarawak

Despite more than 20 years in the Sarawak private education industry, Technology College Sarawak is still the last choice for many students. The college finds it difficult to attract students from more affluent backgrounds, as well as top students.

Moreover, traditional sources of students were drying up & despite innovative teaching techniques, the college was struggling to change unfavourable perceptions.

Solution

Fusionbrand explored how best to transform the college & leverage on its strengths while addressing weaknesses. We quickly identified a number of opportunities to position TCS as East Malaysia’s leading business college.

Fusionbrand also recommended a name change &  a refresh of the brand identity as well as new marketing collaterals development. Fusionbrand developed a brand strategy followed by the creation of a new website, a social media campaign & a brand strategy roadmap heading towards the college’s silver jubilee celebration in 2025.

Outcome
  • While the board is still considering the name & identity refresh, the college has a fresh new look, and has started to attract better students.
  • The Premier of Sarawak in a speech at the college’s 17th Convocation Ceremony in 2023 stated the college is one of the best Business Schools in Sarawak.
