Sarawak SCORE, the East Malaysian equivalent of the East Coast Economic Region (ECER) secured early successes but soon after the initial traction, the image was weak, interest waned, awareness was low & investment targets were missed.

Fusionbrand was invited to create a brand strategy & refresh the brand if the findings recommended it while addressing marketing issues.

Solution

We developed a comprehensive internal & external, global & domestic brand diagnosis covering image, perceptions, marketing, communications relevance & effectiveness, sales & customer engagement shortcomings.

We included a competitor analysis while exploring how to leverage successes & which industries to target.

Outcome
  • More than 100 recommendations from the brand audit report were approved & integrated into a brand strategy.
  • This included a refresh of the brand identity and Fusionbrand upgraded the brand identity.
  • A more focussed strategy identified & targeted suitable companies & the rebrand processes & systems implemented by RECODA led to better leads & helped close a RM9 billion investment
